Job summary

IAG, the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a permanent full-time technology leader across Australia. You will oversee teams responsible for mission-critical platforms, guiding delivery through a period of transformation.

You’ll define sustainment strategies, balance value, risk and cost, and champion automation and AI initiatives. You’ll collaborate with vendors and business stakeholders to drive performance and platform health, while building capability

Qualifications

Experience leading technology teams through change or transformation.
Strong people leadership and team development skills.
Ability to balance business priorities and operational needs.
Confident vendor, partner and stakeholder management.
Curiosity for innovation, automation and AI applications.
Experience in software delivery, platform operations or tech support.
Collaborative mindset and ability to bring clarity in evolving environments.

Responsibilities

Lead teams responsible for core platforms and ensure reliable service during transformation.
Define and deliver platform sustainment strategies balancing value and risk.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance performance, resilience and sustainability.
Partner with vendors and stakeholders to manage services and delivery.
Champion engineering excellence, automation and AI opportunities.
Guide governance and monitor performance for platform health.
