Firmus Technologies is a global AI infrastructure pioneer headquartered in Australia. The Platform Reliability Engineering Manager leads the reliability team for Firmus AI Cloud and AI FactoryOS, guiding complex fault diagnosis, recovery, and automation initiatives across regions.

The role is hands-on and requires strong technical leadership to steer incident response, runbooks, and service-level delivery while collaborating with software and operations teams to push scalable, reliable AI

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on engineering in infrastructure operations or SRE.
• Experience leading 24/7 operations in large-scale hosting/HPC/data centre environments.
• Ability to script or code (Python/Go/Bash) and review automation/runbooks.
• Knowledge of SRE practices: SLAs, error budgets, toil reduction, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the platform reliability team across regions, including hiring and development.
• Oversee 24/7 on-call and incident command rosters; act as incident commander for major incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve automation, runbooks and tooling.
• Ensure service level objectives are defined, tracked and reported to leadership.
• Turn production evidence into concrete improvement requirements for engineering teams.
