Job summary

Transport for NSW, Sydney Trains, is seeking a Planning Analyst AHMC for Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre. This permanent full-time, on-site role focuses on balancing customer demand with operational priorities while applying data insights to improve planning and informed decisions.

You will work across Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain, develop maintenance plans, track performance with SAP and dashboards, and apply Lean principles in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• You’ve got experience in process management, planning or an operational environment, with strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• You’re confident using SAP and data insights to track performance and support sound decision-making, with an understanding of Lean Principles and the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment.
• You’re a collaborative communicator who builds strong stakeholder relationships, manages competing priorities and keeps safety, quality and customer outcomes front of mind.
• You’ve got relevant qualifications in logistics management or engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• You’ll develop maintenance plans that balance customer demand, operational priorities and available resources.
• You’ll use data, dashboards and performance insights to track progress, improve planning and support informed decisions.
• You’ll work across Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to keep delivery on track, while supporting the Planning team and maintaining safety and quality standards.
