Job summary

Sydney Trains at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre (AHMC) is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Planning Analyst to develop and maintain maintenance plans aligned with operations and customer requirements. You will monitor performance through dashboards and ensure material availability and cost efficiency while working with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

• Develop and maintain maintenance plans aligned with operational and customer requirements, while monitoring performance through dashboards and planned versus actual reporting.
• Using data and insights, you’ll support informed decision‑making and improved operational outcomes. You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.
• You’ll also support and cross‑train new schedulers within the Planning team, manage stakeholder communication, provide timely project updates, and ensure safety, quality and record‑keeping standards are maintained.
• Working collaboratively across the team, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of project and operational outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre (AHMC). Please note that this is an on-site role, with attendance at AHMC required.

About You

You’ll bring experience in operations, maintenance or project environments, with strong analytical, reporting and data analysis skills. You’ll be proficient in advanced Excel, SAP MRP, engineering bills of materials and task list analysis, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You’ll also be a confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety.
