Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop and maintain maintenance plans at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre. You will monitor performance with dashboards, analyze data and coordinate with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.

You will also train new schedulers, manage stakeholder communications and provide timely updates while prioritising safety and quality in an on-site environment at AHMC.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, maintenance or project environments.
• Strong analytical, reporting and data analysis skills.
• Proficient in advanced Excel and SAP MRP, BOMs and task list analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain maintenance plans aligned with operational and customer requirements, monitoring performance through dashboards and planned versus actual reporting.
• Use data and insights to support informed decision-making and improve operational outcomes; collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain for material availability and cost efficiency.
• Cross-train new schedulers within the Planning team, manage stakeholder communication and provide timely project updates while upholding safety, quality and records standards.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of project and operational outcomes through teamwork and collaboration.
• Role is on-site at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre (AHMC).
• This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

In this role, you'll:

Develop and maintain maintenance plans aligned with operational and customer requirements, while monitoring performance through dashboards and planned versus actual reporting.

Using data and insights, you’ll support informed decision-making and improved operational outcomes. You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.

You’ll also support and cross-train new schedulers within the Planning team, manage stakeholder communication, provide timely project updates, and ensure safety, quality and record-keeping standards are maintained.

Working collaboratively across the team, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of project and operational outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre (AHMC). Please note that this is an on-site role, with attendance at AHMC required.

About you

You’ll bring experience in operations, maintenance or project environments, with strong analytical, reporting and data analysis skills.

You’ll be proficient in advanced Excel, SAP MRP, engineering bills of materials and task list analysis, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

You’ll also be a confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety.
