Job summary

Keolis Hunter in Newcastle, NSW seeks a Data Analyst (Operations / Performance & Continuous Improvement) to join our team and transform raw data into actionable insights. You will build robust dashboards and KPIs across multiple transport modes and contribute to performance reporting under TfNSW contracts.

The role requires a Master’s degree in data/analytics, fluent English, and hands-on experience with SQL, Excel and Power BI; basic Python/R is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s level degree in data/analytics, statistics, transport engineering or information systems.
• Fluent (minimum C1) – work environment 100% English-speaking.
• Initial experience in data analysis, business intelligence or continuous improvement; internships or first jobs acceptable for VIE eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Turn raw data into actionable analyses for operations across multiple transport modes (bus, tram, ferry).
• Build dashboards and KPIs from heterogeneous data systems (GPS/AVL, schedules, customer feedback).
• Identify continuous improvement levers (congestion, service regularity, delivery rate) under contract with TfNSW.
• Collaborate with operations, planning and quality teams to communicate results to non-technical stakeholders.
