Job summary

Wave International in Perth seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and grow the civil engineering capability within the office. You will steer civil scopes across studies and design, delivering compliant, high-quality designs for mining and infrastructure projects.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives, including site visits and business development support.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and 8+ years in civil engineering within mining, resources, or consulting.
• Experience leading civil engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary projects is essential.
• Strong skills in civil design, technical review, and design management are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering scopes across studies, detailed design, and project delivery phases.
• Deliver high-quality civil designs that comply with Australian Standards, client specifications and safety requirements.
• Perform and oversee earthworks, drainage, road and site development design and related assessments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance as the team grows.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives and resolve technical challenges.
• Undertake site visits and field investigations to support design development and execution.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to securing repeat and new work.
