Job summary

Calvary St Pauls Retirement Community in Cundletown, near Taree, NSW, is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Worker. The role involves supporting residents with daily living, mobility, and personal care while upholding dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in individual support, or equivalent recognised qualification (Essential)
• Experience in dementia support
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
• Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
• Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident’s plan of care.
• Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.

About you

• Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
• Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self esteem
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
