Job summary

Calvary Care is seeking Personal Care Workers for permanent part-time and casual roles across our aged care sites in New South Wales. You will support residents with daily living activities and participate in person-centred care aligned with each resident's plan.

Qualifications

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support) required.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload.
• Knowledge of WH&S and infection control practices.
• Experience in aged care, health care or hospitality is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to exercise choice and independence.
• Assist with one-on-one activities aligned to care plans.
• Contribute to physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
• Deliver personal care tasks within established frameworks (hygiene, showering, dressing, incontinence management).
• Assist residents with mobility per care plan.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one on one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About you

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support)
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or hospitality
