Job summary

Calvary St Pauls Retirement Community in Cundletown, Taree is seeking a caring Personal Care Worker to deliver high-quality resident care across permanent part-time and casual roles, with flexible shifts to fit your lifestyle. You will support residents to live independently, assist with personal care, and implement care plans under a Registered Nurse's guidance.

Essential qualifications include a Certificate III in individual support and dementia experience.

• Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with aged persons' needs

Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose, allowing them to exercise choice and independence.

• Implement care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse and documented in the resident's plan of care.
• Assist residents with personal care and hygiene while encouraging independence

About The Role

As Personal Care Worker you are instrumental to ensuring that we are providing high quality care to our residents at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
• Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
• Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident’s plan of care.
• Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence

About You

• Certificate III in individual support, or equivalent recognised qualification (Essential)
• Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
• Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
• Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity and self esteem
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
