Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is hiring carers to support elderly clients (65+) to live independently at home in the Bega region. The role welcomes both entry-level and experienced candidates on a permanent part-time contract, with 20–30 hours per fortnight plus flexible hours.

You will perform domestic tasks, personal care, and mobility support, with travel for training. The role offers a competitive hourly rate, superannuation, and travel allowances, along with paid induction and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Residence in or near Bega, NSW region.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend rosters.
• Willing to complete the 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training prior to starting; travel is required for training.
• Not a vacancy for disability work or facility/nursing home roles.
• Experience of 1 year is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry and meal preparation for entry-level carers.
• Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, medication assistance and domestic duties for experienced carers.
• Support clients with transportation and social activities; be a friendly face and brighten someone's day.

What this role offers:

• Experienced Carers: Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, assistance with medications, as well as domestic duties & social supports such as assisting with transportation for clients.
