Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is hiring part-time care staff to support elderly clients at home. You will perform domestic tasks and personal care, including mobility and medication assistance, while providing social support and companionship.

Role requires a valid Australian driver’s licence, own car, and at least 12 months of paid personal care experience in aged care. Training is provided, and travel is required for induction and ongoing duties.

Qualifications

• 12 months personal care worker experience in an aged care setting.
• Australian driver's licence with your own car is required.
• Available to work 6 hours daily from 8am to 3pm, Mon-Fri; weekends optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry, meal prep.
• Deliver personal care including showering, toileting, medications, and transport support.
• Be a friendly, reliable presence to brighten clients' days.

Do you meet these minimum requirements?

• Live in or near Naroomaincluding surrounding suburbs Dalmeny, Kiang, North Narooma,
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (sorry, we cannot accept International licences or shared/rental vehicles)
• Have 12 months personal care workerindustry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday (weekend availability is a bonus but not required)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start! (Get ready to learn, grow & be supported!) Travel is required for training.

What this role offers:

• Permanent Part-Time Contracts
• Permanent Contract hours: 20-30 hours perfortnight + flex up hours.
• Hourly Rate: $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide domestic assistance, such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, assistance with medications, as well as domestic duties & social supports such as assisting with transportation for clients.
• Most importantly: be a friendly face & brighten someone's day!
