Respect is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant for a casual role at our CWA House aged care home in Oakey, Queensland. You will deliver person-centred care, support residents with daily activities, meals and mobility, and build meaningful connections with residents and team members.

This role offers flexible AM, PM, night and weekend shifts. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, current police clearance, and NDIS worker screening.

About the Role

Are you a compassionate, hands-on carer who wants to make a real difference every shift? Join our team as a Personal Care Assistant in a casual capacity at our residential aged care home, CWA House in Oakey, Queensland.

You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care, supporting residents with personal care, meals, mobility, and social connection—while building genuine relationships that brighten their day. If you’re caring, reliable, and thrive in a supportive team environment.

This is a casual position requiring flexibility to work AM, PM, Nights and weekend shifts.

No two days are the same! As Personal Care Assistant you will:

• Deliver high-quality personal care, supporting residents with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Assist with meals, feeding, grooming, hygiene, mobility, and light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and encourage social and emotional engagement.
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly, and help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Work collaboratively with the team, communicating effectively and maintaining accurate, confidential care records.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
• Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and committed, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care.
• Experience in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• Meet the legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
