Job summary

Respect is seeking a Personal Care Assistant in a casual, permanent part-time capacity to support residents with daily personal care, meals, mobility, and social connection. This role offers flexible AM/PM/night and weekend shifts within a supportive team environment.

You will provide high-quality, person-centred care, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to a safe, home-like setting for older Australians.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
• Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and committed, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care.
• Experience in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• Meet the legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care, supporting residents with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Assist with meals, feeding, grooming, hygiene, mobility, and light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and encourage social and emotional engagement.
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly, and help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Work collaboratively with the team, communicating effectively and maintaining accurate, confidential care records.
