Job summary

Journey Early Learning North Mackay is seeking a warm Permanent Educator to join our Nursery team. You’ll nurture babies in a calm, supportive setting, building strong relationships with children and families while contributing to high-quality early learning.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, up to 37.5 hours weekly, with a collaborative team and guidance from the Lead Educator. A passion for early childhood development and responsive care is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with babies or nursery environments is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis or willingness to obtain.
• Completed National Child Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Create nurturing, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.
• Support each child's routines, learning and development.
• Build secure, trusting relationships with babies and families.
• Contribute to observations, planning and documentation.
• Work closely with the Lead Educator and wider centre team.

Journey Early Learning North Mackay is looking for a warm and passionate Permanent Educator to join our Nursery team.

You'll play an important role in creating a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, secure and supported to learn and grow. Build meaningful relationships with children and families while working alongside a supportive team that values responsive care and quality early learning.

Permanent Position | Nursery Room | Monday to Friday | Up to 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role

As an Educator in our Nursery, you'll:

• Create nurturing, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Support each child's individual routines, learning and development
• Build secure and trusting relationships with babies and their families
• Contribute to observations, planning and documentation
• Work closely with your Lead Educator and wider centre team
• Maintain a safe, calm and engaging Nursery environment

You're a caring, reliable and collaborative educator who understands the importance of relationships and responsive care during the earliest years.

You'll bring:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Experience working with babies or within a Nursery environment is highly regarded
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain)
• Completed National Child Safety Training
