Simplot Bathurst is hiring a Production Operator for a permanent full-time role at our newly redeveloped facility. Starting base rate is $33.56 per hour with 15% afternoon shift loading and overtime where applicable.

The role involves operating canning and vegetable lines, adhering to GMP and safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement within a busy FMCG manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing, process or mechanically related role.
• Food processing machine experience will be highly regarded but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to site Safety, Health and Wellbeing initiatives and activities.
• Safely operate fixed plant food processing machinery and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Clean and sanitise production lines and localised work areas.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for defects.
• Load and replenish consumables within packing area lines.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety practices.
• Accurately complete daily shift logs and system entries.
• Contribute to site continuous improvement (CI) processes and activities.
• Safely transport raw materials, WIP and finished goods between production areas (forklift duties).
• Use fork-mounted RF systems and radio communications.
• Operate within our cold store and freezer environments.
• Perform pre-start checks on forklift equipment.
• Refuel gas-powered forklifts and change or charge batteries for electric forklifts.
