Job summary

Simplot in Bathurst is hiring for casual Production Operator roles in the 2026 corn season. Work is night shift, Mon-Fri, 11:00pm–7:00am, with a base rate of 41.95 AUD/hour plus 30% night loading and overtime where applicable.

Join a team producing Edgell, Birds Eye and Chiko branded products for local and export markets. You will inspect, grade, and process vegetables, operate equipment, and maintain strict food safety practices while supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace.
• Able to work 8-hour night shifts on a Mon-Fri roster.
• Experience in vegetable processing or manufacturing is highly regarded.
• A current LF forklift licence and operating experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade incoming raw material.
• Remove foreign objects from lines and ensure safe operation of fixed plant processing.
• Clean and sanitise production lines and maintain GMP compliance.
• Complete daily shift logs and system entries accurately.
• Operate forklifts where licensed and assist CI initiatives.
