Job summary

Simplot Bathurst is hiring a Production Operator for a permanent full-time role at our refurbished Bathurst canning and vegetable lines. You will work 8.5-hour afternoon shifts (3:15pm–11:45pm), Monday to Friday, with weekend OT where available, earning a starting base rate of $33.56 per hour plus 15% afternoon shift loading and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Safety, Health and Wellbeing in the workplace.
• Experience in manufacturing, process or mechanical roles.
• Food processing experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate SOPs and follow procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to site Safety, Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
• Safely operate fixed plant food processing machinery and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Clean and sanitise production lines and work areas.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for defects.
• Load and replenish consumables within packing area lines.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety practices.
• Complete daily shift logs and system entries.
• Support continuous improvement processes.
