Job summary

Simplot Bathurst is hiring a Production Operator for permanent full-time work at our Bathurst site. Starting base rate is $33.56 per hour, with a 15% afternoon shift loading and overtime on weekends where applicable.

The role supports our canned and frozen vegetable lines within a busy FMCG manufacturing environment, on a Monday to Friday roster with potential weekend OT. Reporting to the Production Area Manager, you will contribute to safety initiatives, operate processing machinery, and help

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
• Experience in manufacturing/process or mechanically related roles.
• Food processing experience is advantageous.
• LF Forklift Licence is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Good time management and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed plant food processing machinery and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Clean and sanitise production lines and areas.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for defects.
• Load and replenish consumables within packing lines.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety practices.
• Complete daily shift logs and system entries.
• Contribute to site CI processes and activities.
• Perform forklift duties if qualified, including material transport.
