Job summary

Flight Centre Australia is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support the People Systems data auditing tool and coach HR, Payroll and business users. You will investigate data exceptions, guide Workday corrections, and help align data across systems while building basic Workday reports for auditing.

The role emphasizes data quality, process adherence, and collaboration with HR, GPS, payroll and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years’ experience working with HR, payroll or HRIS data, with Workday experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with data using Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools
• Confidence using Excel to manipulate structured data and validate information
• Exposure to HR processes, payroll, HR tech, data analysis or business analysis
• Strong attention to detail and data quality
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data anomalies and root causes
• Ability to follow established processes with guidance
• Desire to learn Workday and HR data skills
• Experience in support, data analysis, payroll or HR operations is advantageous
• Qualifications in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems or Data Analytics

Responsibilities

• Support users of the People Systems data auditing tool and explain audit findings
• Coach HR, Payroll and business users on audits, results and resolving exceptions
• Investigate data exceptions and determine corrections
• Guide Workday corrections using business processes
• Support bulk data corrections, testing and approvals
• Align data across Workday, local payroll systems and Core
• Build and maintain basic Workday reports for auditing
• Identify data quality trends and root causes for improvements
• Support validation and regression testing for Workday releases
• Create and maintain user guides and knowledge resources
• Build relationships with HR, GPS, payroll and stakeholders
