Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join a large national organisation undergoing a major payroll integration and transformation program in Sydney. This role focuses on data, systems, analysis and transformation beyond standard payroll processing.

You will extract, cleanse and validate payroll data, model scenarios, support system migration, and partner with payroll, HR and finance teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge.
• Practical award interpretation experience.
• Excellent understanding of payroll compliance and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Extract, cleanse, transform and validate payroll data.
• Analyse and reconcile complex payroll datasets.
• Prepare payroll data for system migration and upload activities.
• Conduct payroll audits, validation and data integrity checks.
• Interpret awards and assess payroll-related impacts.
• Complete redundancy and employee entitlement calculations.
• Support payroll remediation and compliance initiatives.
• Perform scenario modelling and workforce impact analysis.
• Identify payroll risks, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with payroll, HR, finance and project teams throughout transformation activities.
