Sharp & Carter is seeking a payroll leader in Melbourne to manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance and audit readiness in a complex, award-driven environment. You will liaise with a managed service provider and act as a point of escalation while driving system improvements.

Leadersh‑ip and stakeholder engagement are essential, along with a collaborative, strategic mindset and a focus on mentoring payroll team members within a flexible hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• Significant payroll experience in a complex, award/EBA driven environment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of relevant Awards, EBAs, and legislation.
• Experience dealing with a managed service provider advantageous.
• High attention to detail and analytical capability.
• A collaborative and strategic mindset.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes.
• Ensure compliance, governance & audit readiness.
• Liaise with managed service provider.
• Act as escalation point for complex issue resolution.
• Driving continuous improvement and system optimisation.
• Implement effective risk management strategies & controls monitoring.
