Sharp & Carter is partnering with a well-established Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their finance team. This broad, hands-on role combines payroll, accounting, reporting and compliance responsibilities within a complex operational environment.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid working arrangement, you will own end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand, support month-end processes, and contribute to governance, statutory reporting and process

Formación

• End-to-end payroll experience in a complex environment.
• Experience interpreting payroll legislation and awards.
• Broad accounting knowledge including reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Experience with payroll-related reporting and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-end payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand.
• Managing fortnightly and weekly payroll cycles.
• Interpreting Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation.
• Payroll system administration and employee maintenance.
• Processing superannuation, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.
• Preparation of payroll journals and month-end reporting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and payroll-related GL management.
• Payroll accruals, provisions and financial reporting activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and workforce cost analysis.
• Preparation of FBT calculations and annual compliance reporting.
• Regulatory reporting and statutory submissions.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Assisting with payroll system enhancements and testing.
