Job summary

Fire Rescue Victoria is seeking a Payroll Officer in Melbourne to ensure accurate on-time payroll processing. You will handle payroll helpdesk enquiries, maintain RDO arrangements and master data in SAP/PayGlobal, and verify payroll data including overtime and leave entries.

You will support internal and external stakeholders with a confidential, responsive service while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic HR environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR or Payroll environment preferred.
• Certificate in business or HR related qualifications desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency with HR Information Systems (SAP and/or Pay Global preferred).
• High level interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• MS Office products including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll helpdesk enquiries and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain RDO arrangements, banking details and master data in SAP/PayGlobal.
• Review submitted forms and issue payslip reprints as required.
• Contribute to payroll data verification, including overtime and leave entries.
• Provide confidential service to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
