Job summary

MiCare Ltd. seeks an experienced Payroll Officer for a Home Care project to manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll across Victoria and Queensland, ensuring SCHADS award compliance.

The role requires testing and implementing the SCHADS interpreter within Care Systems, and coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver accurate, timely payslips. Reporting to the General Manager, People Services, you will translate complex award requirements into system configurations, test scenarios

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll under the SCHADS Award, ideally within a Home Care environment.
• Ability to interpret complex SCHADS Award provisions and apply them to payroll scenarios.
• Experience testing payroll systems or award interpreter outputs, including UAT, parallel testing and go‑live.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups, pivot tables and reconciliations.
• Ability to work to fixed payroll deadlines and resolve issues with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end Home Care payroll: process fortnightly payroll for Home Care workforce across Victoria and Queensland, ensuring SCHADS compliance.
• SCHADS Award interpreter testing and implementation: develop test scenarios, validate outputs, conduct parallel pay testing and support go-live in Care Systems.
• Payroll reconciliation and issue resolution: investigate discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Process improvement: identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and strengthen payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Stakeholder collaboration: work with People Services, Home Care operations, payroll and external providers to support delivery.
