Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Technician for a permanent, full-time role based at the Artarmon depot, servicing major clients across the Greater Sydney area. You will install, inspect, service and rectify passive fire protection systems in accordance with Australian Standards and customer requirements, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and customer service.

This role requires a trades background, NSW Driver's Licence, White Card, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Experience in the fire protection industry.
• Experience in passive fire protection, fire doors and/or fire stopping.
• Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and BCA/NCC requirements.
• Experience with inspection, testing and rectification of passive fire systems.
• Carpentry trade qualifications are highly regarded.
• A NSW Manual Driver's Licence is required.
• A White Card / WorkSafe Induction Card required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to safety, quality and customer service.

• Inspect and service fire and smoke doors and associated passive fire systems.
• Complete defect rectification works, including fire and smoke doors.
• Install passive fire protection equipment and systems in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
• Carry out inspections and testing of passive fire measures.
• Complete required documentation, reports and compliance records.
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety at all times.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based out of the Artarmon depot, with work across the Greater Sydney metropolitan area.

As a Passive Fire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, servicing and rectification of passive fire protection systems, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, report on and service passive fire protection systems and measures.
• Inspect and service fire and smoke doors and associated passive fire systems.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Experience in passive fire protection, fire doors and/or fire stopping.
• Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and BCA/NCC requirements.
• Experience with the inspection, testing and rectification of passive fire systems.
• Carpentry trade qualifications are highly regarded.
• A current NSW Manual Driver's Licence.
• A current White Card / WorkCover Induction Card.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
