Job summary

National Fire Passive seeks Passive Fire Installers to install and maintain passive fire systems on new builds and existing residences across Sydney. Although based in Homebush, you will travel to sites throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.

The role requires knowledge of Australian Standards, a White Card, a clean driving record, and a willingness to work in a safety‑conscious environment with regular daytime hours. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with passive fire systems preferred or strong interest.
• White card and a clean driving record are required.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and fire safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install passive fire systems in compliance with Australian Standards.
• Perform fire sealing of service penetrations, including mastic application, and install batts, wraps, fire-rated enclosures, and collars.
• Document your work with photos and adhere to company processes.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.

Role Overview:

As a Passive Fire Installer with us, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining passive fire systems in both new construction projects and existing residential buildings throughout Sydney. While our office is located in Homebush, your work will take you to various sites across the Sydney metropolitan area, making this role perfect for candidates based anywhere in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and install passive fire systems in compliance with Australian Standards.

Perform fire sealing of service penetrations, including mastic application, and install batts, wraps, fire-rated enclosures, and collars.

Document your work with photos and adhere to our company processes.

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.

Experience or a strong interest in passive fire systems.

White card.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Understanding of compliant fire rating solutions and methods.

Knowledge of Australian Standards and fire safety regulations.

Reliable transportation (vehicle may be provided if necessary).

EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license.

Experience with fire doors and fire damper installation standards.
