Job summary

Inner West Passive Fire Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Technician to join our Sydney-based team. You will be responsible for installing, inspecting and maintaining passive fire protection systems across commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

With a minimum of 2 years in the field, you will produce detailed safety reports, collaborate with builders and authorities, and stay current with fire safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a passive fire technician or in a similar role.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Understanding of Building Code of Australia and relevant fire safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain passive fire protection systems.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation to demonstrate building fire safety compliance.
• Collaborate with construction teams, building owners and fire safety authorities to resolve non-compliant issues.

Inner West Passive Fire are seekingan experienced Passive Fire Protection Installersto join our growing team.

We are a Sydney based passive fire company specialising certification, inspections, installations and rectifications of passive fire systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

About the role

As a Passive Fire Technician, you’ll be an integral part of our team, responsible for ensuring the effective installation, inspection, and maintenance of passive fire protection systems. With at least 2 years of experience in the industry, you’ll have the chance to continue your career growth and develop new skills through on-the-job training.

What you'll be doing

• Install, repair and maintain a variety of passive fire protection systems including fire-rated sealants, fire collars and fire-rated dampers
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation to demonstrate building fire safety compliance
• Collaborate with construction teams, building owners and fire safety authorities to resolve non-compliant issues
• Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest passive fire protection regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a passive fire technician or in a similar role
• This role is either full-time employment or you could join our team as a sub-contractor (Hourly rate will be negotiated taking experience into consideration)
