Are you a skilled Passive Fire Installer & Technician looking to join a dynamic team?

We have an opportunity to join one of Sydney’s leading fire protection companies, providing a comprehensive range of fire protection services on an array of exciting projects across Sydney.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Passive Fire Technician with experience in the install, maintenance and logging of firestopping systems in building penetrations to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. The successful candidate will work on a variety of commercial and residential projects across Sydney, ensuring all compliance measures with fire safety requirements and industry standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduling of inspections, installation and maintenance of fire protection systems, including firestopping solutions in wall and floor penetrations (pipe, cabling, ducts etc.) on projects across Sydney.
• Interpretating fire protection drawings and specifications to ensure the correct firestopping system is implemented in accordance with fire safety regulations and industry standards.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations while on-site.
• Working closely with Project Managers, clients and other contractors to ensure quality workmanship and meeting of project deadlines.
• Maintaining detailed records of installations and inspections for future reference and compliance audits.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Passive Fire Technician, specifically in the installation and maintenance of firestopping systems in building penetrations.
• Detailed knowledge of passive fire protection systems and suitable applications.
• An understanding of building codes, industry standards and passive fire product test reports.
• Previous experience using programs such as Ctrldoc or Site Audit Pro.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders on-site.
• Keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
• Valid white card and relevant industry certification.
