Job summary

Atom Resources is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Manager to establish and lead a new Passive Fire division in NSW. You will oversee projects from review through completion, build systems and procedures, and drive growth with strong leadership support.

With over 20 years in the field, the company offers a secure project pipeline across commercial, government and residential sectors and a clear path to long-term leadership within the division.

Qualifications

• Experience in Passive Fire industry and ability to manage projects and client relationships.
• Motivation to build and grow a division rather than operate an existing one.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Passive Fire division.
• Manage Passive Fire projects from planning through to completion.
• Develop operational processes and compliance systems.
• Establish and maintain Passive Fire registers and documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications and fire engineering reports.
• Oversee fire stopping and fire door compliance works.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (AS/NZS NCC).
• Prepare QA documentation and handover packages.
• Liaise with builders, consultants, certifiers and clients.
• Identify defects and remediation requirements.
• Manage project resources, scheduling and budgeting.
• Support estimating, tendering and business development.
• Recruit, mentor and develop Passive Fire personnel.
• Drive growth of the Passive Fire division.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for establishing, managing and growing the Passive Fire division.

You will oversee Passive Fire projects from review through to completion while developing systems, compliance procedures and operational processes that support the ongoing success of the business.

This role combines technical expertise, project management, compliance oversight, leadership and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Passive Fire division
• Manage Passive Fire projects from planning through to completion
• Develop operational processes and compliance systems
• Establish and maintain Passive Fire registers and documentation
• Review drawings, specifications and fire engineering reports
• Oversee fire stopping, penetration sealing and fire door compliance works
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements
• Prepare QA documentation, compliance reports and handover packages
• Liaise with builders, consultants, certifiers and clients
• Identify defects, non-conformances and remediation requirements
• Manage project resources, labour and scheduling
• Support estimating, tendering and business development activities
• Recruit, mentor and develop future Passive Fire personnel
• Drive growth of the Passive Fire division

About You

You will have experience within the Passive Fire industry and be comfortable managing projects, compliance requirements and client relationships.

• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
