CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut is seeking a Parts Interpreter to assist customers, technicians and colleagues with the right parts solutions. You will source parts, process orders and support workshop operations to keep parts moving smoothly.

Join a team that values people, culture and workplace experience. A rotating Saturday roster and forklift opportunity may be available; a manual licence is required.

• Experience as a Parts Interpreter preferred (commercial vehicle experience highly regarded).
• Strong customer service mindset and problem-solving approach.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert parts advice and solutions to customers, technicians and colleagues.
• Handle retail, wholesale and internal sales enquiries and follow up back orders.
• Source components and coordinate parts for counter sales and workshop needs.
• Promote specials and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain customer data in the CRM system and interpret parts catalogues.

About the Role

As a Parts Interpreter, you'll be the go-to expert for customers, technicians and colleagues seeking the right parts solutions. Reporting to the Parts Department Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting retail, wholesale and internal customers while ensuring parts are sourced, processed and delivered accurately and efficiently. No two days are the same. One minute you'll be assisting a customer with a parts enquiry, the next you'll be sourcing components, managing orders or supporting workshop operations.

A little about what you will be doing

• Providing expert parts advice and solutions


• Managing retail, wholesale and internal sales enquiries


• Following up customer back orders


• Picking parts for counter sales and workshop requirements
  
• Promoting specials and identifying upselling opportunities


• Maintaining customer information within the CRM system


• Interpreting parts catalogues and manuals


• Sourcing parts from manufacturers and suppliers


• Coordinating the timely dispatch of parts orders


• Processing parts orders and quotations accurately


• Maintaining documentation and records


• Monitoring distributor updates and bulletins


• Recording lost sales and identifying improvement opportunities

To be successful in this role you'll ideally have:

• Experience as a Parts Interpreter (commercial vehicle experience highly regarded)


• A strong customer service mindset


• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills


• Sound computer skills and confidence learning new systems


• A reliable, organised and team-oriented approach


• Current manual driver's licence


• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)


• Availability to participate in a rotating Saturday morning roster
