Job summary

CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut is seeking Heavy Vehicle Technicians to service, repair and prepare customer vehicles to high standards in a busy workshop. You will work an AM shift, report to the Workshop Service Manager and mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicle preferred).
• Current Drivers Licence (HR/HC licence highly regarded).
• Proven experience in the automotive industry, ideally with manufacturer training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles (engines, gearboxes, transmissions, suspension systems and more).
• Diagnose faults efficiently and accurately, recommending additional repairs where required.
• Complete all work to manufacturer and company standards right the first time.
• Test drive and inspect vehicles in line with service check sheets.
• Produce clear, professional job reports and labour estimates.
• Fit accessories as per repair orders.
• Support and guide apprentice technicians as needed.
• Participate in training, development, and breakdown rosters where required.
• Always maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment in line with WHS standards.

About the Role

Working the AM shift and based in Derrimut you will report to the Workshop Service Manager. Youll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and preparing customer vehicles to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a hands2on role where your technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction will shine.

Youll be working in a fully equipped workshop, using modern diagnostic tools and dealer management systems, while supporting apprentices and collaborating with a highperforming team.

Key Responsibilities

What Youll Bring

• Mandatory - A minimum of Certificate III in Automotive Technology (Preferably Heavy Vehicle)
• Current Drivers Licence (HR/HC licence highly regarded)
• Proven experience in the automotive industry, ideally with manufacturer training
• Strong diagnostic and technical skills
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
