CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair a wide range of trucks using cutting‑edge diagnostic equipment in a modern, state‑of‑the‑art workshop.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years on‑the‑job experience in the heavy vehicle industry in Australia
• Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and procedures
• Experience with American, European, or Japanese drivelines is highly regarded
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, customer‑focused team
• A current HC/HR licence is an advantage but not essential
• Strong work ethic, time management, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety
• Own toolkit
• The right to work in Australia

Responsibilities

• Safely carry out repairs, servicing, and inspections of engines, gearboxes, brakes, differentials, and more
• Use the latest diagnostic equipment to accurately assess and resolve vehicle issues
• Complete clear, detailed reports on repair orders, including supplies used and prioritised recommendations
• Support and guide apprentice technicians in safe work practices and technical tasks
• Proactively identify and report any hazards or safety concerns

This is a full-time position working the afternoon shift (3:30pm to 11:36pm).

About the role
