Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Group is seeking a dedicated Parts Interpreter for our Mackay team. You will ensure timely, accurate supply of quality parts to external customers and internal stakeholders, leveraging electronic manuals and Dynamics to meet customer needs.

You will collaborate with a small team, maintain relationships, and deliver outstanding service via phone, email, and in person while supporting warehouse operations and sales targets.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Experience interpreting spare parts and advising customers.
• Familiarity with earthmoving equipment or construction machinery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal sales and parts interpreters to fulfill parts requests.
• Provide accurate part recommendations to external customers and internal stakeholders.
• Use electronic parts manuals to identify and supply parts per customer needs.
• Source parts externally when needed and maintain records in Dynamics.
• Support warehouse team to ensure timely delivery of parts.

The Opportunity

Hitachi is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join our team in Mackay.

As a Parts Interpreter, you will ensure timely and accurate supply of quality parts to both external customers and internal stakeholders. Your customer facing role will be pivotal in maintaining delivery standards, achieving sales targets, and fostering long-term customer relationships.

Reporting To The Parts Supervisor, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Collaborating with a small team of parts interpreters and internal sales staff
• Providing exceptional service to external customers and internal stakeholders
• Utilising electronic parts manuals to identify and supply parts according to customer needs
• Sourcing parts externally when necessary
• Maintaining and updating records using Microsoft Dynamics
• Delivering outstanding customer service via phone, email, and over the counter
• Working closely with the warehouse to ensure smooth delivery of parts

• Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly regarded
• Have a good understanding of earthmoving, construction equipment, or a related industry
• Demonstrated experience in spare parts interpreting
• A solid mechanical understanding would be advantageous
