Job summary

Macquarie Vetz Animal Centre in Victoria is seeking a friendly, experienced Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our caring team. You will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, delivering professional, compassionate service and supporting the veterinarians.

Responsibilities include handling phone inquiries, appointments, emails, and payments, maintaining accurate patient records, and assisting with daily clinic operations to ensure smooth, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in the veterinary industry in a reception, nursing, or client-focused role.
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or related qualification preferred, but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and providing professional, compassionate customer service.
• Managing phone enquiries, appointments, emails, and client communications.
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Supporting veterinarians and nursing staff with daily clinic operations.
• Providing reassurance and care to pets and their owners.
• Assisting with general administration tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
