Job summary

Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation invites applications for a part-time Reunification Intake and Assessment Caseworker in Ropes Crossing, NSW. You will support clients from initial enquiry through the reunification intake and assessment process, coordinating with the Reunification Team Leader, Manager, researchers and counsellors.

The role requires cultural sensitivity, confidentiality and trauma-informed practice, with duties including gathering records, reviewing documentation and liaising

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Aboriginal cultures, communities and past government policies.
• Understanding of the Stolen Generations and intergenerational trauma.
• Experience in client intake, casework or community services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current NSW Driver Licence and ability to obtain Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for new and pending Reunification clients.
• Provide culturally safe, trauma‑informed support during intake.
• Explain Link-Up's Reunification Program and application steps.
• Assist clients to complete applications and gather documentation.
• Review incoming applications and identify missing information.
• Maintain regular communication on application progress.
• Support triage by identifying priority matters with team.
• Request and review records to establish removal, Aboriginality and family history.
