Job summary

Australia Post Australia is seeking a part-time Retail Customer Service Officer to help Australians service their own businesses and keep communities connected. You will handle customer sales, process high-value transactions, and assist with mail lodgements in a supportive team environment.

The role offers paid training, 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri 10:30am-2:30pm) on a 12+ months contract, with career development opportunities and access to Post Perks discounts to complement earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Be able to lift up to 16 kg of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift.

Responsibilities

• Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.
• Managing high value transactions accurately (cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS).
• Conducting identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.
• Promoting products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.
• Assisting customers with mail and parcels lodgements and associated costs.
• Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
• Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.
