Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Retail Customer Service Officer to support customers in our post offices. You will handle customer transactions, promote products, and assist with mail lodgements while delivering friendly, reliable service.

Training is provided on commencement with a five-hour shift daily during the initial 8 weeks. The role offers weekday afternoons, a starting rate of $29.72/hr that rises to $31.77/hr after about 3 months, plus 12% superannuation and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift.

Responsibilities

• Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.
• Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS).
• Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.
• Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities.
• Assisting customers with mail and parcels lodgements and associate costs.
• Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
• Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.
