Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Part-Time Payroll Officer to manage payroll for approximately 60 employees. This role is about two days per week, offering flexibility within a friendly, local business environment.

You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain records, and comply with Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, and PAYG requirements while addressing employee queries professionally.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll from start to finish.
• Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and PAYG rules.
• Experience interpreting awards, overtime and allowances.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for ~60 employees.
• Check timesheets, hours, allowances, overtime and leave entitlements.
• Ensure payroll is accurate and on time; maintain records.
• Manage superannuation contributions and payroll tax where applicable.
• Handle PAYG withholding and STP reporting accurately.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Respond to payroll queries professionally; maintain confidentiality.
• Comply with awards, agreements and employment legislation.
