Job summary

Hope Media is seeking a Payroll Officer for a part-time role in Seven Hills, NSW. You will manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll for around 70 employees across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and on-time payment.

You will maintain payroll records, process timesheets, leave, superannuation and statutory requirements, and respond to payroll queries with a high level of confidentiality. Knowledge of Australian awards and Xero is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position.
• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll practices and employment conditions, including Award interpretation.
• Experience working with Xero (preferred).
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for approximately 70 employees across 4 entities.
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records.
• Processing timesheets, leave, allowances and other payroll adjustments.
• Managing superannuation and other statutory payroll requirements.
• Supporting payroll reporting, month-end and year-end activities.
• Responding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
• Interpreting relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions.
• Working closely with People & Culture and Finance to resolve payroll matters.
• Maintaining accurate records and protecting sensitive employee information.
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and employee experience.
