Job summary

Laverty Pathology in Armidale is seeking a Pathology Collector for a part-time role of 24 hours per week, with Monday to Wednesday shifts from 7am to 1pm. You will engage with patients, collect blood samples and other specimens, and ensure accurate handling in line with documented procedures.

Applicants with pathology collection experience or healthcare backgrounds are welcome. A Certificate III in Pathology Collection is preferred, with internal training provided and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Previous pathology collection experience is highly regarded.
• Background in healthcare, aged care, disability support, or customer service welcome.
• Strong communication and ability to follow procedures are essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and manage waiting areas with care.
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests as required and maintain records.
• Prepare specimens for transport and handle payments where needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe collection environment.
