Qualifications

• Pathology collection experience or background in healthcare, aged care, disability support, or customer service.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection preferred.
• Strong communication and patient relation skills.
• Ability to follow procedures, manage priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and explain collection procedures with care and professionalism.
• Perform venepuncture and collect other pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as ECGs, blood pressure monitoring as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen registers.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to laboratories.
• Manage patient communications and payments where required.
• Maintain a clean and safe collection environment.
