Job summary

The Town of Bassendean is seeking a part-time Library Support role to assist customers with digital services, collections and programming. The role also handles home delivery and general administration with a strong emphasis on customer service.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in outreach, knowledge of library management systems, and the ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service experience and communication skills.
• Experience with delivering outreach programs such as Storytime and Adult workshops.
• Good knowledge of automated library management systems, e-resources, associated devices and download processes.
• Time management, planning and organisational skills to meet requirements of the role.
• Ability to lift and carry a medium load.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the use of digital services, collections, programming and home delivery service.
• Provide support to the customer service team and act as the first point of contact in person or via phone.
• Handle financial and general administration tasks for the library.
• Contribute to outreach activities and library programs to engage the community.
