Job summary

MiCare is seeking an organised injury management professional to coordinate return to work cases and wellbeing initiatives across Victoria and Queensland. This part-time role offers three or four days per week with flexible pattern agreed with the successful candidate.

You will report to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner and support employees through recovery, liaising with insurers, managers and practitioners to manage claims and create suitable duties.

Qualifications

• Completion of recognised Return to Work Coordinator training or equivalent relevant training.
• At least two years of practical experience in return to work and injury management, including case coordination, employee contact, suitable duties planning and insurer liaison.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, monitor deadlines and maintain clear plans and records.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse backgrounds.
• Sound judgement with confidentiality and escalation when needed.
• Qualifications in injury management, OH&S or related fields are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day injury management and return to work cases with supportive contact.
• Assist employees and managers with workers compensation claims and insurer liaison.
• Develop, coordinate and review Return to Work Plans and Wellbeing Plans.
• Monitor medical certificates, capacity, milestones and timelines.
• Support employees returning to work after non-work injuries or extended absence.
• Maintain confidential case records and provide progress updates to the partner.
• Coordinate wellbeing activities and campaigns across the workforce.
