Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Claremont is seeking a part-time Customer Banking Specialist to join our branch team. This role offers a roster of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10:00am–2:00pm, designed to fit around your schedule while delivering outstanding service to customers.

You will work with your Branch Manager and colleagues to understand customer needs, guide them through in-branch and digital banking options, and process applications for personal loans or cards when required.

Qualifications

• Ask the right questions and find the right solutions, act with integrity and put the customer first.
• Passion for service excellence; able to work independently and refer customers to specialists when needed.
• Experience in a busy retail banking environment; provide holistic solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversations
• Work with customers to help them use our in-branch technology and digital banking options
• Ask about and respond to customers' transactional needs in the branch, ensuring they leave satisfied
• Perform interviews and process applications for personal loans, credit cards and associated products
• Adhere to the Bank's processes and procedures, including accurately reconciling transactions and reviewing customers' financial positions
• Engage with customers by participating in community events and fundraising activities
• Look out for the safety and wellbeing of your team
• Use tools to capture customer feedback, and take action to correct any service breaks and drive improvement
