Job summary

Mission Australia Housing is seeking a Housing Officer to support tenants in social and affordable housing in Coffs Harbour. The role blends tenancy management, property oversight, and administrative tasks to ensure stable housing outcomes.

You will work with tenants, partners, and internal teams to meet regulatory and funding requirements while delivering compassionate, client-centered services in line with Mission Australia’s values.

Qualifications

• Experience in community housing or tenancy management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with tenants and partners.
• Good administrative and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of social housing tenancies and property management.
• Support tenants to sustain tenancies with guidance on rights and responsibilities.
• Monitor rent payments, arrears, breaches, and income reviews.
• Conduct routine property inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare operational reports on tenancy performance and vacancies.
• Build relationships with tenants, partners, and stakeholders.
• Represent Mission Australia Housing at meetings and uphold compliance.
