Job summary

Essence Hotels & Apartments, part of the UniLodge Living group, seeks a warm Front Office Receptionist for our Taringa location. This part-time position offers 30 hours per week with weekend availability and a focus on delivering welcoming guest experiences.

You will handle front desk duties, assist with operations, and liaise with maintenance and service providers to meet guest needs. Join a team dedicated to exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience or aptitude in guest-facing roles at hotels, conferencing, or administration.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-line reception duties in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Support the Team and Front Office Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Liaise with maintenance staff and service providers for guest requests.
• Assist with initiatives to improve occupancy and revenue outcomes.
• Receive and manage guest complaints and refer unresolved issues to management.
• Report operational concerns and hazards to management promptly.
• Assist with pre-authorisation, room deposits and refunds per procedures.
• Support end-of-month front desk and administrative tasks as directed.
• Maintain flexible shift coverage as required.
