Job summary

UnitingCare Community’s Family Relationship Centre in Bundaberg is seeking a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join a high-performing team. You will assess cases for FDR eligibility and guide families through dispute resolution in child, financial and property matters, while maintaining accurate records and contributing to professional development.

You’ll work within the FaDS team and remain up-to-date with Australian Family Law developments, ensuring compliant practice and compassionate

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Law or related discipline.
• Graduate Diploma Family Dispute Resolution.
• Current registration with FDR Practitioners Registration Board (QLD).
• Current QLD Driver’s Licence.
• Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).

Responsibilities

• Assess the suitability of each case matter for family dispute resolution.
• Facilitate resolution of disputes in separated families regarding child, financial and property matters.
• Provide information to clients on the family law system and relevant Act sections.
• Maintain accurate records in client management and data collection processes.
• Prepare client records and documents in the online client records management system.
• Keep up to date with developments in the Australian Family Law system and related guidelines.
• Participate in supervision and professional development.
• Deliver own work and undertake other duties within the scope of the role.
