Job summary

Crowne Plaza Canberra is seeking a Part-time Commis Chef to support our Food & Beverage operations across Redsalt, Lume Bar, meetings, and room service.

You'll work across kitchen sections, produce high-quality dishes, follow HACCP standards, and maintain kitchen cleanliness while collaborating with front and back of house teams.

Must have Australian working rights, a valid food handler certificate, and a commercial cookery certification; hotel kitchen experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have working rights in Australia.
• Valid food handler certificate.
• Commercial cookery certification.
• Experience in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment is highly desirable.
• Able to work autonomously and collaborate with front and back of house teams.

Responsibilities

• Work across kitchen sections such as Grill, Pans and Larder.
• Produce high quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style.
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and brand standards.
• Maintain daily cleaning throughout the kitchen.
• Lead collaboration with the kitchen team and foster a positive work environment.
• Follow HAACP regulations and guidelines.
