Aline Pumps is seeking a Panel Tank Installer to join our team in Sydney. This hands-on role involves assembling and installing large-scale water storage tanks across diverse project sites, with frequent travel across Australia.

You will work with the Site Manager to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery, interpreting IFCs and hydraulic plans, while following AS2304 and company standards. Travel, accommodation, and meal allowances are provided according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly and installation of fire water storage tanks.
• Support Site Manager with materials, tools and components for tank construction.
• Assist with alignment, levelling and sealing of tank panels and fittings.

• Conduct visual checks and assist with QA documentation.
• Prepare and maintain worksites in a clean, safe condition.
• Manage tools, equipment and materials efficiently.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Panel Tank Installer to join our Aline Pumps team — someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a hands‑on environment, and enjoys travelling to different project sites across Australia. You’ll work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the successful and timely installation of large-scale water storage tanks across a variety of projects. This is a Sydney based role with travelling required, including work away from home for periods of time. Travel, accommodation, and meal allowances are provided in line with company policy.

Key Responsibilities

Assistance in Construction

• Support the Site Manager in the assembly and installation of fire water storage tanks
• Handle and prepare materials, tools, and components for tank construction
• Assist with alignment, levelling, and sealing of tank panels and fittings

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure all installation work complies with AS2304 and company standards
• Conduct visual checks and assist with QA documentation under the direction of the Site Manager

Site Preparation and Maintenance

• Prepare and maintain worksites in a clean, organised, and safe condition
• Manage tools, equipment, and materials efficiently

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols, including confined space and working at heights requirements
• Report any incidents, hazards, or near misses immediately to the Site Manager

Communication and Coordination

• Work collaboratively with the Site Manager and installation teams
• Provide regular progress updates and assist with logistics and materials coordination

About You

• Trade qualification in construction, metal fabrication, or a related field (highly regarded)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or tank installation roles
• Ability to interpret IFCs and hydraulic plans
• Strong understanding of construction safety, site procedures, and quality control
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing project schedules
• Willingness to travel frequently and work away from home
